Plants

Plants are the backbone of our business, our range is comprehensive and includes:- Shrubs, Perennials, Conifers, Trees, Climbing plants, Rockery/Alpine plants, Fruit trees and bushes, Heathers, Roses, Bedding plants, Hedging plants, Hanging baskets, and Herbs. We also feature many fine specimen sized plants, some imported, and many we grow here on the nursery. If you need a single plant for a gift, or enough for a complete garden design we have the plants for you.

Pots and stoneware

You can be sure that if you need a pot or container for your treasured plant to look its best in and thrive, we can guide you to the right one. In fact, we will plant it for you if you require! The new range of Fibre Clay containers is currently popular, being light to handle and they look very realistic! It seems BLACK is this seasons trend for pots. An addition of Statuary, Birdbath, Sundial or one of the many garden ornaments can instantly contribute to the character of your garden.

Bulbs, seeds, and sundries

It is heartening to see so many people returning to, or beginning growing their own plants. Whether you use young starter plants, or seeds and bulbs, we endeavour to start you off and keep you going.  Pots, compost, and fertilizers help you complete the job.

Birdcare

Hand in hand with us in the garden are our wild friends with which we share it, so we make sure we have plenty to keep our feathered friends happy. We have nuts, seeds, and fat snacks, feeders to put them in, and tables and poles to put them on, together with nest boxes and roosting pouches, even ones for Bats and Owls.

Seasonal

By their very nature some products are seasonal. Christmas trees are available from late November/ Early December when you can choose from a mountain of low drop Nordman, Noble fir, or traditional Norway spruce. Native hedging plants are available from mid November whilst they are dormant (asleep), and this is also the best period of availability for fruit trees and bushes. Seed potatoes and early bedding starter plants also need to be sought early, certainly by February.

And remember; when you visit Woodfields and you don’t know what a perennial is, or are confused by composts, we will give you no nonsense help to make the right decision.

ENJOY YOUR GARDENING!
