Hosta Broad Street displays broad, heart-shaped leaves, typically deep green with a splash of lime green maturing to cream, and subtle veining that adds depth and texture. As the plant matures, the leaves can become quite large, sometimes reaching over 25 centimeters in length.  It can reach approximately 50–70 centimeters in height and spread even wider over time, making it ideal for filling empty spaces in shaded beds. It is a relatively fast-growing hosta compared to some slower varieties.
