Prunus incisa Kojo no mai produces an abundance of small blossoms in March and April on branches with a zigzagging branch structure. The flowers begin as deep pink buds that gradually open into pale pink or almost white blooms with a subtle fragrance. In autumn, the foliage turns attractive shades of orange, red, and gold. Prunus Kojo no mai is considered a dwarf or compact cherry tree, typically growing to around 1.5–2.5 meters in height and a similar spread.
