Acer
Acers are best known for their Autumn colour, but have the widest range of leaf shape and variation in size. The family of Japanese maples holds most of the popular ones, but from a huge Sycamore down to the smallest of the cut leaved maples there is one for all gardens. They love dappled shade and look great reflected in water.
